With their son off to university, this Burlington couple was ready to give their home a long-overdue refresh. We reimagined their space from top to bottom—updating finishes and fixtures and adding custom cabinetry throughout to bring personality into the once builder-basic design. A key transformation involved opening up the dining room, requiring collaboration with a structural engineer to remove load-bearing pillars. The vaulted living room ceiling was enhanced with wood beams for added architectural interest, while the fireplace was updated with natural stone to anchor the space beautifully. The result? A polished, custom-feeling home that is truly stylish—so much so that their son now visits more often.
