My New Favourite Washable Rugs

I want to start by saying I hope you’re having a fantastic summer! I am, and you may have noticed that I’ve not been posting here on my blog or my Instagram very much lately, and it’s been intentional. I’m slowing things down to enjoy summer, and I hope you’re doing the same.

I recently did a little shopping for my kitchen and purchased a new rug – A washable rug, that is, and I wanted to pop on here and share the details with you because I am in love with this thing!

I know that it’s not very “designery” of me to recommend a washable rug. I used to be very much on the side of purchasing a high-quality, expensive wool runner for the kitchen because quality means it will last. I still believe this, but I was tired of cleaning my rug and having it gone so much to be cleaned. In case you don’t know, I have a three-and-a-half-year-old at home and a very lovely but messy partner who likes to cook. As a result, my kitchen runner is always dirty. So, I went looking for a better option for a kitchen runner for this season of my life, and that’s when I found Ruggable!

Ruggable is a perfect solution if you’re kitchen floors see way too many spills, and you’re a total neat freak like I am. It comes with an excellent non-slip pad and the rug velcros to the top. When you need to wash your rug, you simply peel it off the underpad, toss it in the wash, and lay it back down once clean. It’s magical.

Again, I think it depends on what season of life you’re in, and I look forward to having my wool runner back one day, but for my young family right now, these Ruggable runners work perfectly. This is also a wonderful solution for seniors because they are very non-slip, so I plan to purchase one for my parents and in-laws because they’ll make great gifts.

The one I purchased for my kitchen is this one HERE in the colour Abalone. I am also ordering one for my dining room, as we don’t have one in there now due to all of the spills that happen. My dining room feels unfinished because there is no rug, so getting a washable Ruggable in there would be a perfect solution for now. If you’re looking for a nice-looking, easy to clean runner for your kitchen, I highly recommend Ruggable! Click HERE to shop and enjoy!
