Fashionable Interior Design Tips For Your Home

Don’t you just love the changes in season and breaking out a whole new wardrobe? I do! With the rising temps and new outfits, I’m inspired to share some of my favourite fashionable interior design tips that you can apply when decorating your home.

LAYERING IS BEST

Just as you would layer an outfit to add different textures and finishes, it’s important to do the same when decorating a room. The best outfits combine a handful of elements, like jeans, shoes, a top, a sweater and a necklace – Thinking of your room the same way will help you achieve a more complete look. Layer your upholstered pieces with decorative toss pillows and throw blankets, include a rug, window treatments, some fantastic decorative lighting and accessories, et voila!

INVEST IN QUALITY ITEMS

Quality fashion pieces are worth the investment, so are quality pieces for your home. If you invest in classic pieces, they will stand the test of time. Swap out accessories and smaller items with the seasons and trends, but keep larger pieces for a lifetime. Like a great pair of jeans or a designer handbag, your sofa should hold up for many years to come if you’ve invested in a good one.

GET WHAT YOU LOVE

You know how you feel fantastic in your favourite outfit like you’re ready to take on the world? Your home should make you feel that same level of awesomeness! Invest in pieces that speak to you, your sense of style, and make you happy. Spend the time to curate the perfect look for you – It will be well worth it, I promise!
